In the digital age, the preservation and dissemination of digital cultural heritage have become particularly important.
Through digital technology, cultural heritage can be preserved, displayed, and disseminated, which not only enhances public access to and understanding of cultural heritage but also provides a more interactive and immersive experience.
Methods
Results
The "A Fairest Forest" project successfully enhanced the interactive experience and educational value of the game through improvements in AI pathfinding algorithms and the interactive design of digital cultural heritage.
The game, due to its innovation and educational value, attracted attention from local New Zealand media and was featured in The Spinoff, increasing its visibility and influence.
Conclusions
The project not only demonstrated the immense potential of digital cultural heritage in education and emotional engagement but also explored new directions in human-centered design, as well as participant testing and refinement in cultural heritage education. In this way, the project provided a fresh perspective on the design and development of digital cultural heritage games, emphasizing the importance of considering users' emotional connections and learning experiences in practice-based research.
